Design Initiation
We now will schedule our 2-hour meeting, which is usually face-to-face. During the get-together, we sign agreements, and a retainer is secured. Every design is different; the deposit depends on the overall size of your project.
A ‘trade day’ is now booked at the construction site on a day of convenience. Here, I do a final design assessment, measure up, and take photographs. Depending on the project, I may bring other trades-people too.
Step three prepares us for step four when I start sourcing the products and applying for permits.
In step four, I prepare the construction drawings, plans, elevations, and electrical layouts required by other professionals, such as contractors, architects and engineers.
Proper planning helps each professional perform their roles efficiently, and there is no guesswork.
